Development focuses on:
- Social skills such as manners through peer interaction
- Self-care tasks like washing, dressing, toileting, and eating
- Environmental care including cleaning, food, plant, and animal care
- Large-motor activities such as walking, climbing, running, jumping, and balancing
- Fine-motor skills like grasping, using tools, and art
- Language development involving naming, describing, discussing, singing, and talking
Oruguitas (3 to 4½ years old)
The teacher conducts all individual and group lessons in Spanish, children will learn by demonstration, repetition and songs. The children engage in purposeful Montessori work in areas of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Cultural Studies.
*The Oruguitas program is for children who take a nap after lunch.
